Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel-apartment among tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, is offering “Early Bird Booking” discounts to delegates of this year’s upcoming big exhibitions.
Participants and visitors can take pleasure in staying in a single or double occupancy with upgrade to a Club Room for only Dhs 450/- when booking is made 15 days prior to the commencement of each exhibition events such as Gulf Food in February, Arab Lab in March and Arab Health this month. The reduced rate is inclusive of breakfast and Wi-Fi connectivity and is subject to 10% Service Charge, 10% Municipality Fees and Dhs.10 as Tourism Dirham Fee per room per night. Room rates are subject to availability and prior reservation.

Al Bustan Centre and Residence, welcomed delegates from 42 countries for the 7th Fazza IPC Powerlifting World Cup- Dubai 2016.
Al Bustan Centre and Residence, is proud to house over 210 selected participants from 42 different countries for the 7th Fazza IPC Powerlifting World Cup- Dubai 2016 from February 12-20-2016.
Held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crowne Prince of Dubai and the Chairman of Dubai Sports Council and in collaboration with the Dubai Club for the Disabled and strategic partners, the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre, International Paralympic Committee and the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, and the UAE Paralympic Committee.
The tournament held at the Dubai Club for the Disabled from 12th to the 20th of February 2016 were participated by 42 countries as follows: Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, Finland, France, Georgia, Ghana, Great Britain, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Ivory Coast, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, the Netherlands, Oman, the Philippines, Poland, Russia, Serbia , Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Syria, Thailand, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and tournament hosts the United Arab Emirates who will be represented by 13 athletes.
Dubai and the UAE, became globally known when it comes to hosting prominent events and championships such as the Fazza Championship and other international sporting tournaments which is expected to prosper in the upcoming years and provide athletes like the –power lifters with an opportunity to showcase their talent, skills, and confidence in competing against other great opponents. The tournament ran till the 20th of February, to allow individual to do their best in snatching the Para Lifting Championship title.

A special evening was hosted by Al Bustan Centre and Residence, accompanied by the representatives of the Dubai Club for the Disabled, a cake cutting ceremony was initiated to welcome the delegates. An award and plaque of Participation has been rewarded to Mr. Lepold Wauterman for his efforts and perseverance in making the world of Powerlifting a more globally recognized sporting events.
Dubai, UAE (March xx, 2016) –Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel-apartment among tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, proudly hosted the delegates of the1st IPC Athletics Asia-Oceania Championship which concluded last 13th March 2016.
Representative of 24 participating countries were warmly welcomed at Al Bustan Centre and Residence, a place considered home to all participating delegations of Fazza Athletics Tournament organized and headed by Thani Juma Berregad, Chairman of the Dubai Club for the Disabled and Head of the Organizing Committee and Majid Abdullah Al Usaimi, Executive Director at the Dubai Club for the Disabled and the Director of the Fazza Championship for the Disabled a long time partner of Al Bustan Centre and Residence.
“The competition’s objective is not only to bring home the trophy, but also for the delegates to value the meaning of sportsmanship and camaraderie, as well as to experience the UAE culture and its tradition”, said Berregard.
A special awards night was held at the hotel’s ballroom where plaques of appreciation were given to the organizing committee, sponsors and the representatives of each delegate countries. To make the experience more memorable, a raffle draw was initiated and great deal of electronic prizes were given to the lucky winners.
Roger Getzmann, head of the IPC Paralympics, also expressed his gratitude towards the organizing committee of the Dubai Club for the Disable and Dubai Sports Council, for exceeding his expectations in putting up a successful event.

In partnership with Dubai Municipality, hotel employees from F&B, Engineering, Security, Human Resources and Front Office departments enthusiastically participated as they de-cluttered the area between Crescent School and American International School Dubai at 9:00am – 10:00 last Monday, 21st November.

Now on its 22nd year, Clean Up the World Campaign is joined by almost 35 million volunteers in 130 countries, making it one of the biggest community-based environmental campaigns in the world. Its goal is to inspire and empowers community groups, schools, businesses, and local governments to participate as members and carry out community-based activities that address local environmental issues.
The annual drill started when the security fire alarm rang and evacuation took place after. A mock up of an injured person and fuming smoke out of the window were created to give the actual feel of a real fire situation.
Supported by Dubai Police and Dubai Ambulance services, the exercise was participated by the top management team, hotel employees from housekeeping, front desk, food & beverage, and marketing departments respectively.
